Come and see why Porto is so photogenic!
Today I’m reaching back into the recent past, 2019, with two cities I visited in the same trip, Seville and Porto, to see how these two pretty great cities to visit compare against each other. One has ties with a Moorish past, bull fighting and one of the largest cathedrals in the world, the other is famous for its wine and for a magnificent two-story bridge, and also for just being one of the nicest cities in Europe. Sintra is less than 35km from Lisbon and the perfect day trip. Here's how we found it when we went last year! So many castles, palaces and mountains it's truly a beautiful part of Western Europe!
Whilst I didn't eat out a lot in Lisbon, I did try a few places and discovered the world's best custard tart. I also had a go at self-catering, which is always an experience and a great way to keep costs down!
Or – Is a Five star hotel THAT much better than a four-star hotel? When preparing for my trip last year (2019) I booked almost all my hotel stays in advance (and one AirBnb stay). Bar a few nights in Tajikistan, I was booked for the rest of the nights which meant I knew where …
