Come on board with me today as I take to rails in Japan on the Nozomi Shinkansen from Yokohama to Hakata (aka Fukuoka) on the southern island of Kyushu. This incredible train reaches speeds of over 200 km/h in the home of the original bullet train, Japan, SIXTY YEARS after the first bullet train was launched between Tokyo and Osaka.
As I speed along check out the on board experience and the countryside as it whizzes pass, and beforehand as I watch Shinkansens departing Shin-Yokohama. This amazing train is the ONLY way to travel Japan! Enjoy!

I enjoyed travelling with the Shinkansen in Japan a few years before the high-speed train network was developed in Europe, particularly in France. I dream that one day there will be the same thing between Toronto, New York and Montreal. Dream.
