With little time this week to actually write a blog post, I thought it would be a good idea to return to ‘Foto Friday’. Here is a road in Australia’s top end I travelled on in 2008 when in the Northern Territory through the famous Kakadu National Park!

So empty! Did you see any animals cross by?
no….. but they were out there!
LOVE Kakadu. I have very fond memories of a weekend camping trip there. Our van broke down twice but it was all part of the experience.
🙂 thanks for reading. A special part of the world!
This road looks so much like India! I really want to make it to Australia again. There is so much to explore.
Like India…. except with no traffic, no rickshaws, no cows…… 🙂 thanks for reading!
Aaaah – seeing photos like this really makes me want to visit Australia!! Wish it wasn’t so far away 🙂
LOL – on the other side of the coin, it seems like EVERYWHERE is far away from Australia!
Great photo. I’m headed to Oz in six weeks and I will be traveling that exact same road! … although I’ve been told to stay near the coast and away from the outback during the summer months…
Well in the outback summer time is the wet season. Theres plenty down south too, although it can be seriously hot in South Australia, south western australia etc in Summer. thanks for reading. It might not be too bad up north – its cooler than say october before the rains come. Some say that the monsoon is a wonderful time to visit India, so maybe its similar up in the NT. However head to central Australia will be pushing 45-50 degrees.
LOVE the colours!!!
Thanks!
Agree with everyone here, the colors are amazing!!
Thanks Agness!
Ooooh the one place I didn’t get to visit while in Australia’s top end… Nice picture!
Cheers! It’s totally worth it too!
I love the open roads of Australia. There’s only so many places you can see so much nothing.
Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
Simply beautiful! How we long to visit the Top End one day 🙂
We never made it to Kakadu, choice Litchfield NP instead. The road looks just the same though. I miss the colors!
its a unique part of the planet – and so beautiful! Thanks for reading
The road and the vegetation looks like when you are entering the northern region of Ghana.
Yes there is a richness in the earth up there thanks for visiting!
You are most wellcom.
