Pakistan is an exciting, vibrant, colourful country that you may not have considered visiting before. There’s no doubt that it’s not a natural choice as a country to visit, it is rugged and intrepid in many ways, but that also to me adds an air of excitement to travel. The tourist trail is not well laid out, and despite some fairly comfortable transport options on the ground, it is not nearly as straight forward as many countries which are far more popular with the tourists. So let’s see what you need to know for a trip… to Pakistan!
Folks, I’ve taken you to all parts of the globe, at least as far as I’ve been, and shared my favourite cities. But this here is my last post in this regard. And some great cities and towns on this list. I always find it impossible to lump what is sometimes called the ‘sub-continent’ in …

Do you know what has happened recently in YouTube travel videos? Not much, that's what. Even a month ago I could have a bit of a search and find something that was newish and I thought was worth sharing, but it's getting harder because, I guess, people aren't travelling. Howdy all. Today I thought I would do a thoughtful type of post, and reflect on my time in Pakistan some 15 years ago. 2004 was a hell of a trip, it was my plan to go from Bangladesh to Europe (and then onto West Africa, which didn’t end up happening that trip). It was …
Hi all. Today is a guest post. As some of you may recall, I do 'Doctor Who' Fan Fiction thing on Youtube. Earlier this year I enlisted the help of friend of the blog, Tim Blight, to shoot an episode of a four part serial whilst he was in Lahore. It was the second part …
Howdy all. No – I’m not IN Lahore. But it’s a city that has been recently on my mind for a couple of reasons. And … I’ll start with Doctor Who, because I think that’s what started this whole thought cycle in the first place. The sixth episode of the latest series of Doctor Who …
Hi all. Yes, I finally have my copy of friend of the blog Tim Blight’s Pakistan Traveller. ‘Dare to take the road less travelled’ is the catch phrase, and quite an apt one at that! Tim’s book is really the only travel guide out there that’s current for Pakistan. When I travelled to Pakistan back …
