Foto Friday – Andy celebrates on Salar de Uyuni

So whilst I'm sharing pics, when I went to South America in 2016 my Aussie Rules football team had won the premiership for the first time (and only) in my life time. Trick shots are all the rage on the Salar de Uyuni, hence the shot I share with you today! Thanks for popping by, …

Bouncing Into Bolivia – Lake Titicaca, Potosi and Salar de Uyuni

Bolivia is one of the world's secret destinations, I would say. When people think of heading to South America, they don't necessarily think to head to Bolivia, preferring Brazil or Peru perhaps, or even Argentina. But I would have to say as a place to travel, Bolivia is the most interesting South American country I have been too. Check out the video I've put together of this incredible destination!

Epic Journeys – Uyuni (Bolivia) to La Quiaca (Argentina)

Today the story of my epic journey from the town of Uyuni in Bolivia, the gateway to Salar de Uyuni, to the border town of La Quiaca, in Argentina, passing through such not-particularly-known towns as Atocha, Tupiza and Villazon (the border town on the Bolivian side). Like quite a bit of the continent, it’s at altitude, from Lake Titicaca in the north of the country, to the salt plains in the south. There's so much in this country that you probably never realised. So read on to find out what, where and how!

Little Places – Copacabana, Bolivia

Ahhh I need to post something about somewhere that wasn’t on my recent trip to India and Sri Lanka! But what to post? Ahhhh yes, I’ve written about it before, but why not Copacabana. Bolivia that is. Because I don’t think I could possibly classify the glitzy beachside suburb of Rio as a ‘Little Place’. …

Border Crossing Experiences – the Good

One part of travelling still gets me a little excited is crossing borders. Although you know that an imaginary line on the ground that divides two countries really can’t bring that much difference, somehow it’s all pretty exciting stuff – especially when you are going into new territory -  country you have never been to …
