Today I take you to Amsterdam where, endeavoring to save a few Euros, I decided I would try my first ever ‘capsule inn’. Except, it wasn’t really a capsule inn, at least as far as I was concerned.

The name ‘Diamond Capsule Hotel’ suggests otherwise, but I got more than a capsule for my money, I got a very small room, but one with a desk, a little storage space and my own bathroom with shower, basin and toilet. Not what I had imagined beforehand – I had images of a ‘capsule’ like I’ve seen in photos and videos from Japan where basically you stay in a locked in bed and share facilities.

So this was much more than that, for which I was grateful, but how did it fare overall and was it worth it, as it was rater far from the centre? Watch to answer these questions, and more!
