1000 Kilometres from Koh Samui to Kuala Lumpur, Thailand to Malaysia by Road, Sea and Rail!

Folks, today I present to you my final vlog for 2025. There are still a handful of vlogs covering the end of my ’round the world trip from earlier this year and they will be dropped early next year as the blog and YouTube Channel are taking a month off over Christmas.

My ’round the world journey took me from the Americas, to Europe, to Africa and this last region which was South East Asia. After the best part of a week in Koh Samui, it was time for me to move on as the final week of my four and a half month journey began. I was on my way to Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia! To get there I would use a combination of different modes of transport. Taxi, ferry, bus, mini-bus, an overnight stop in Hat Yai in southern Thailand not too far from the Malaysian border.

Then another taxi to the border, a couple of hours in Pedang Basar after crossing to Malaysia, a train to Kuala Lumpur and finally a MONORAIL to my accommodation. I feel like I throw the word ‘epic’ in there a bit haphazardly these days, but well, it was a full two days of travel so come along with me and see it all in condensed form! Enjoy!

Thanks for popping by! May the Journey Never End!
