Howdy all! Today’s vlog IS a continuation of my 2025 Round the World (The Wrong Way) Adventure, but in a similar vein to my Utopia Vlog, it has a Doctor Who slant. Having said that, the first stop is the town of Aldbourne, a short bus ride from Swindon, which has a history steeped in World War II with the famous ‘Band of Brothers’ stationed there preparing for the D-Day push.
This is the town of Aldbourne, alternatively famous for the filming of the 1971 Doctor Who story (Starring Jon Pertwee and Katy Manning) ‘The Daemons’, aka ‘Devil’s End’ for televisual purposes. It’s also a very picturesque and lovely little town worth exploring for the visitor. So why not do it with me?
Also in this vlog, I stay in Swindon where I attend a Film and Comic-Con event, ‘Stars of Time’, which was held in STEAM – a museum of the Great Western Railway. I mean the actor who played Davros in ‘Destiny of the Daleks’ (David Gooderson) and Nicola Bryant, famous for playing ‘Peri’ in the 1980s. And also a special guest appearance from Sooty and Sweep. Plus some beautiful old steam engines! What more could you ask for? Enjoy!
Thanks for popping by! May the Journey Never End!
