Sensational Little Ile De N’Gor, Senegal

Howdy all! Today is another photo blog for you! Hope you are doing well wherever you are. My first day in Dakar, I’d arrived by lunch time and had only three days really in Dakar and was determined to get right into it. To get to Ile de N’Gor I had to take a taxi for a forty minute (ish) ride to the seaside suburb of N’Gor and from there take a boat to the island.

The island itself is beautiful and attracts a number of surfers and foreigners. It’s got plenty of places to stay and eat, so it’s well set up. There are also a number of artists (local artists) residing on the island so it has a great atmosphere and is full of lovely laneways and the like to get around the small island, easily traversable by foot which is good because there are no vehicles allowed! But enough of my blabber – this is supposed to be a VISUAL post!

A view of the island from the mainland.

Thanks for popping by! May the Journey Never End!
