Rio Street Art

banner-rio-street-art-copyHope you are enjoying a wonderfully relaxing day this Sunday. I can’t confess to being a massive fan of “street art” if you will. In fact I don’t necessarily notice it. In South America the one place I DID notice it was Rio De Janeiro.rio-street-art-1 rio-street-art-2 rio-street-art-3

The majority of these photos were taken in the Lapa District of Rio de Janeiro. The colours were quite striking and I thought it really added to the colour and beautiful. There was a real artistry about it all and there’s no denying that. I hope you enjoy!

Not so amazing, I admit, but a little different - in the Santa Marta Favela.

  1. Very nice, Bogota has a small dedicated street art scene as well. Anyone visiting should sign up for free walking tour.

  2. I love me a bit of street art! I went around Lahore a few years ago and photographed street art around the place… fascinating. You can tell a lot about a city from it’s “Strart” (see what I did there? 🙂 )

  3. Heard many great things about the Rio street art scene but have yet to make it over there myself……one of these days 😉 Thanks for sharing, great photos brother!
