Howdy all! Every year I look back at the vlogs I shot and published and share the ones that did the best in terms of views. But also, there are always some that didn’t do so well and I feel like they deserved to do better than they did (and others I don’t lol!).

I’ve seen already that where there is more competition in locations for vlogs, it’s harder to cut through and get the views from those who don’t normally choose my channel. For example, Tokyo vlogs were a hard sell where as ones down in Kyushu seemed to get more views, possibly because there aren’t as many vlogs on YouTube about this region as compared to Tokyo. I also find that airline reviews almost always get me a solid gain of views, city tours less so (which sucks because I like walking around cities and discovering with my viewers where as airline reviews are less enjoyable. MUCH less enjoyable to make). Anyways, here are four vlogs for your kind reconsideration…

1. Harajuku STYLE – Rainbow Coloured EVERYTHING and the OWL CAFE! 

I mean, case in point right here! This vlog of Harajuku was awesome fun to make with my wife’s friend Hisako. It was beset with the main issue that the audio for some reason didn’t work the whole day (still no idea why) and actually probably this was then the hardest vlog of 2024 to edit because I had to record a lot of audio for it and I think I did a pretty good job and made a decent vlog.

2/ Riding the OUIGO! Spanish High-Speed Rail Review

This was my full review of my train ride from Barcelona to Algeciras in the very south of Spain with a short stop in Madrid. Check it out as it includes a loo review!

3/ Train Journeys – Full Shinkansen Experience From Yokohama to Hakata

This review of the Shinkansen trip from Yokohama to Kyushu hasn’t done as well as pretty much any of the other Japan vlogs except for the Harajuku vlog above. Sometimes my train journeys vlogs have done super well, and others seem to have fallen flat. Still, I thought this was a pretty good one!

4/ Underwater World & Pentai Cenang – The Main Town on LANGKAWI Malaysia!

This one came out in the first half of 2024, and failed to do as well as the other vlogs from Langkawi, which I kinda expected as it’s mostly exploring the main town on Langkawi rather than some of the more interesting touristy places. But I thought it was a pretty decent vlog none the less!
