In the same vein as last Saturday’s post, today’s post looks at vlogs I published on YouTube and I am sharing the ones I published in 2024 that received the most views. 2024 has seen the channel begin to make a little bit of money, and a significant increase in both watch time and views. So, let’s see what videos the algorithm favoured!

5/ The Historic Heart of Manila – INTRAMUROS Walking Tour

Great that a video of a city makes it into the top five. This one has 3.2K views as of mid-November and sees me walking around the historic part of Manila and discovering many things to see!

4/ FIVE Stars on Langkawi – Pelangi Beach Resort and Spa Review

Most of my hotel reviews don’t seem to receive much traffic, apart from a small few. This one is one of the few and is a review of my resort in Langkawi late 2023, but the vlog obviously dropped early 2024.

3/ Perfect Stay Manila AIRPORT? – The Belmont Hotel 4 Stars

And here again I am with another hotel review completely voiding my point that they don’t get views LOL. This one of the nicely appointed Belmont Hotel, very handing for Manila’s airport, and this one came close to 5K views, with over 4.7K views up to mid-November 2024.

2/ EIGHT HOURS on a Cebu Pacific A330 from Sydney to Manila!

Flight reviews, especially Business Class ones, tend to do really well. But it’s a BUDGET airline review coming in at number two – the Philippines’ Cebu Pacific on the eight hour flight from Sydney to Manila. As of mid-November over 10,000 views!

1. High Speed Rail MOROCCO STYLE! What’s the AL BORAQ Like?

I was surprised that my review of taking the Al Boraq from Tangiers to Marrakesh in Morocco came out on top with 11.6K views. It’s a bit deceiving because unlike the others on this list which have been steadily collecting views week by week, this one had a couple of big days in its first week and then basically flatlined. In fact, it hit 11.1K within the first couple of weeks, so only 500 views from early April. So who knows how the algorithm really works hey???
