Do you know the country Mauritania? I have found often when I mention I was going there, or now – that I have been there, people draw a blank. It was the second last country on the epic journey from Dhaka to Dakar, just north of Senegal. Mostly desert, the country was actually a surprise to me. I found the people to be super friendly (which I was NOT expecting) and luckily I had just enough time to explore the capital, Nouakchott. So check out this video! I did know the country, but after hearing you saying it I realized I was pronouncing it wrong! I love maps and I’ve been to Morocco and the Canary Islands several times, so I presume that’s why I know it! We may actually have learned about in school too…?? Maybe!
