Thanks for the quick tour of Sofia which I visited several years ago. There were not as many Roman ruins to visit at that time, not that they have been built since, but rather they were not promoted and visitable.
Yes that’s right although I like the idea of building new Roman ruins perhaps er can do that in Australia and increase tourism! 😜
Sometimes the ‘reconstructed’ ruins are more spectacular than the sites originally found by archaeologists. I am thinking of Machu Picchu or the Mayan pyramids that became hills.
