Port Adelaide is a ‘suburb’ of Adelaide, a place where boats from Europe headed to bring free settlers to South Australia. So I was lucky to see inside the ‘City of Adelaide Clipper’ – a boat that took this incredible trip so many times in the 1800s, and was returned in recent years to Port Adelaide and is being restored now. The tour guide was a relative of past owners etc of the boat. And she chatted with me for a couple of minutes!
