Howdy all, hope you are well. Today it’s ‘Destination: London’ as we go ‘through my lens’ and look at some of the better photos I took there last time I was in the city. That would be back in 2017 now, a little over three years ago.
I realise that every time I go there I really should be taking more photos than I do. I don’t know why I seem to neglect photo taking in London, although I do adore the city so maybe I’m just soaking it all in as it were, rather than being obsessed with photographing it.
To supplement the photos from 2017, the final gallery today combines older photos for you. I’ve been to London FIVE times in my life – 1999 (I don’t think I took a single photo then) 2000-01, 2007, 2011 and 2017. And surely, as long as one day we can travel again, I will return again to it’s fair banks of the Thames! Enjoy!
Trafalgar Square Hoots! Bagpipes for the busk! Statue of Churchill Pigeon at Trafalgar Square
Trafalgar Square is one of London’s most known and recoginisable spots, famed for its statues and fountains, Nelson’s Column, and for being a great spot to meet your friends!

I found taking a boat along the Thames was a great way to see more of the city and to get a few good pictures in too!

Along with great museums and galleries, London is iconic for so many reasons, whether it be it’s trademark streets, the Underground, Big Ben or even Doctor Who!
London Film and Comic Con, 2011. Big Ben says London right? This is from 2007. King’s Cross Station. Tower Bridge. Me and the TARDIS at Earl’s Court Station. The Globe Theatre. London Eye and the Thames. Train arriving at a Tube station.
Thanks for visiting today! Take care and stay safe wherever you may be, and of course, May the Journey Never End!
great photo with the Tardis:)
😀 thanks!
Like all big cities, London renews itself continuously, from one visit to the next there is always something different, such as security or sanitary measures; it is true that when comparing the same photos over time it is more apparent.
:)thanks for stopping by!
