Howdy all! Yes as I continue my reviews of last year, it’s time to look to my YouTube performance to see what were the three most watched vlogs I published in 2025. The year was a bit tricky for me on YouTube. Although the views and watchtime went well in general, around June-ish the payouts declined despite the upwards trend of other statistics on the channel. Exactly why I am not sure but recently a friend of mine asked if I had seen a drop in earnings since mid – 2025 and when I said I had, she said many have experienced this. I’m not sure if this was an Australian specific issue, but I feel like keeping all the stats in consideration I have been making at least 25% less for the equivalent amount of views and watch-time previously.

Having said that late October my Zimbabwe videos dropped and they have been my most successful vlogs ever. I put this primarily down to the lack of travel content out there on Zimbabwe more than anything. I dropped my first promotion on my video of the Gorilla experience in Uganda around that time too and saw it explode in views (but due to the promotion have not included it here). However I felt the promotion of the video was a waste because although it netted over 40,000 views, the average watch time plummeted to 10% of what it was pre-promotion and the earnings from the video barely moved by more than about five cents. Something to keep in mind if you are tempted to promote one of your videos through YouTube as I did. Anyways, here are the most popular three!
3. Melbourne to Santiago and Exploring the city!
My third most popular video had me super excited because it was the first video of my ‘Round the World’ trip and I hoped it was a precursor of what was to come. Sadly views dropped back to regular levels when the next vlog dropped, but c’est la vie!
2. Taking Stallion Cruise in Zimbabwe
The second most watched video is the last of the three to be published in the second half of November 2025. The adventures on one of Zimbabwe’s worst highways were to be fair a great adventure!
- CAG Bus Harare to Bulawayo and the Zimbabwe Train Museum
I blinked and this had shot over 10K views! Earlier in November I published this one and despite not being 100% happy with the thumbnail, I think this proves videos do best when YouTube pushes them to more and the right people. The bus ride was the opposite of the Stallion Cruise ride, this was a really comfortable bus to Bulawayo. And the train museum was awesome!
Thanks for popping by! May the Journey Never End!
