G’day all! Welcome back to my little blog if you’ve been following, and welcome to my blog if you haven’t! 2025 was an incredible year in terms of travel and for the blog in general, easily it’s most successful year.

And so this year I start off with a few reviews, as you do, and then I will be back into writing about my trip from mid-2025 which if you didn’t know saw me pass through 21 countries in four and a half months.

As for actual travel plans, as I write this post I have nothing booked for 2026, which is a little unusual for me to head into a year and not have something booked. After a crazy trip (my biggest since 2011) in 2025, you might think I am unlikely to have BIG travel plans for this year. And you’d be right.

At this stage the plan is to head to Japan for a few weeks and to do a little bit of domestic travel. The Japan trip will mostly be a family trip, however I’m sure I’ll be able to see and do a few things, and on the way home I may try for a small side trip somewhere in Asia but I haven’t any firm plans as yet. I have a couple of ideas in my head but we will see what eventuates. In terms of domestic travel I have never travelled to Perth or Western Australia before in my life, and so this is something I am hoping to do in 2026. It’s nearly a four hour flight from Melbourne to try and give you some idea if you’re not so familiar with travel in Australia, so it’s a fair distance.

There are a huge number of vlogs I have to edit and put up on YouTube from the ‘Round the World Trip as well, flight and hotel reviews, deeper vlogs into cities and experiences as well. So it will be a very busy year of blogging and vlogging, hopefully can get in a few Melbourne/Victoria based vlogs with some familiar faces who have popped up in my vlogs before!

I will try to get around to reading other blogs too. Time has just got away from me from November until now, I haven’t forgotten all the great bloggers I follow, but well Christmas was a crazy time, and we had a medical emergency before Christmas in the family too and well, it’s been a time!

Anyways, here’s to 2026. Despite all the awesome travel, 2025 was a difficult year in many ways with health issues, work issues and more. Hopefully 2026 is a smoother ride, crossing my fingers is all I can do!
