Howdy all. These notes – the Indonesian Rupiah, date back to 2012 when I made a brief visit there to the island of Batam, a short ferry from Singapore. I recently moved and I found a couple of old diaries from older trips including this one which was Sri Lanka, Singapore and Indonesia, and a 2015 trip to New Zealand. Anyways, love sharing money with you guys.

Can’t remember the exchange rate of 2012, today one USD is worth over 15,000 Indonesian Rupiah. I don’t think you got quite so many for you USD back in 2012, but I could be wrong there!
