Hi all. I’ve always enjoyed seeing different currencies of the world, their designs and colours. Today I’m sharing the monies from Bangladesh and Pakistan where I was earlier this year. I generally keep a few notes that aren’t worth much and stick them in my diary on my last day in a country.
Firstly we have the Bangladeshi Taka, one USD is worth around 109-110 Taka as of November 2023.

Then we have the Pakistani Rupee, which at the moment is around 278 to the USD.

The 10 Taka, 10 Rupee and the 100 rupee you can see the faces of the fathers of Bangladesh and Pakistan on their respective currencies.
Thanks for popping by – May the Journey Never End!
All I ask of foreign currency is that it is easy to tell one note from another and that the denominations be within reason. In Vietnam you had to carry Dong notes in multiples of 1 million.
Lol yeah some countries are so impractical with their cash! Thanks John!
I also keep currencies from my trips, whether as souvenirs and/or to use later if I return to the country. Really colorful!
Agreed love the foreign currencies 😁
I love saving currency too! I have a lot of coins saved from Trinidad and Peru 🙂
Yeah it’s a great simple souvenir!
I love this post. I always save coins and bills from my trips abroad. My favorites so far are the $2 triangle coin and $3 note from the Cook Islands.
Wow those are super special thanks for popping by and checking out my blog!
