This charming railway bridge is still in use, and not far from the Sri Lankan town of Ella. People walk and drive out to the bridge to walk across it and take photos. Of course, they do need to be careful of approaching trains! It’s 91 metres long and is made of stone, bricks and cement. Completed in 1921. So HAPPY 100th BIRTHDAY BRIDGE! Enjoy!

Thanks for popping by – May the Journey Never End!
It is an often photographed bridge; its beautiful curve against the background of the jungle makes it a very attractive site.
