G’day everyone. Hope you’re well! Today we have another photographic post for you. My first full day in Senegal in April and I was on a tour to the National Park on the Langue de Barbarie, an island off the Senegalese not far from Saint Louis.
On the way we had a stop at a place called Gandiole. Here there were these salt flats. Low land, but the water dries leaving the ground covered in salt. People, mostly women, put the salt into piles for it to be put it buckets and finally dumped onto carts pulled by horses and taken away for export. It’s a pretty big scale all said here in Gandiole, and luckily our guide obviously knew many of the people there and I was able to take a number of photos. Here’s a selection for you today!

Thanks for popping by! May the Journey Never End!
