In a reflective blog post, the author recounts their first solo backpacking adventure in 1999, which ignited their passion for travel. Today I share reflections on a four-and-a-half-month global trip covering 21 countries. While vlogging motivated exploration, it also hindered relaxation. Highlights include gorilla trekking in Uganda and the beauty of Santorini. Serious health issues arose during travel, along with personal challenges. The journey fosters plans for future blogs and vlogs.
It's been over ten years now since I left Melbourne on my last BIG trip, and although there have been several medium-term trips, I wanted to reflect on the last time I dedicated the best part of a year to travel!
