Climbing the 1000 Steps – The Kokoda Memorial Walk

Hey folks! Well, today it’s another episode of ‘Melbourne Revealed’ – actually episode 40 if you can believe that! Today it’s an episode I wanted to film a few years ago. I venture out to Ferntree Gully and the Dandenong Ranges.

The Kokoda Memorial Trail exists as a monument to the campaign in Papua New Guinea during the Second World War along a stretch called the Kokoda Track. Although the one where Australian forces fought and died in WWII is 80km the one in Victoria, Australia less than an hour from Melbourne and is around 1.4km only in one direction. However, it is generally in the direction of up. So how will unfit Andy cope? Watched and find out!
