Howdy all! Melbourne Revealed is back with a visit to the National Gallery of Victoria’s ‘Triennial’ Exhibtion from earlier this year. Yes Folks – I’m about to delve into the somewhat dangerous region of ‘modern art’! (Dah, dah DAH!) but how will I find it? Will my cynical side completely take over me, or will I see more to this collection than I expected to before I walked through the door? My visit to the NGV was nothing if not interesting and illuminating. I was surprised by just how much security there was, and they certainly took their job very seriously! I have to marvel at how some of these pieces are constructed. I think that takes a lot of talent as well as coming up with the artistic concept.
Yeah it was interesting which is not normally my response to modern art!
There are a lot of resources available for contemporary art, it seems. Perhaps it is more difficult to acquire older works.
