A couple of days ago I did a City Rumble featuring Amritsar and Lahore (see City Rumble – Amritsar Versus Lahore) and I mentioned the changing of the guard ceremony (actually it’s the closing of the border ceremony) at the India-Pakistan border between the two countries. I haven’t personally seen it sadly, but there are a few videos up on YouTube fortunately and I thought I would share a couple with you today so you can what it’s all about! Enjoy!
Thanks for popping by! May the Journey Never End!
We saw this on TV the other day on a Michael Palin program, it made us smile, quite an unusual ceremony 😁
that it is!
Quite amazing! It is better than fighting though.
true
I don’t usually self promote but we also have a video of it on our site. Bottom of the home page. It was one of the funniest and most fun things we did!!
ill make sure to check it out!
Cela semble si fou, comment prendre un garde frontière indien ou pakistanais au sérieux après ça.
Sorry for the French above, got distrated by the show 🙂
It reads:
It seems so crazy, how can you take an Indian or Pakistani border guard seriously after that.
No worries!
How cool is this!
pretty cool must try and get there one day again so i can see
Now this I want to see. Definitely on the Indian side! Mesmerizing. They even have metal plates on the sole of their shoes to make the clicking noises. Absolutely fascinating.
Super interesting and what a show! It’s like an event in itself and I read that they do this every day. I am sorry you couldn’t see it while you were there Andy.
maybe one day! 🙂
