Happy Thursday to ye all. Today I want to show you a very special Eurovision song from the contest in Sweden in the year I was born, 1975. This was the competition following on from Abba’s huge win in 1974 with ‘Waterloo’. The 1975 winner ‘Ding-a-dong’ from the Netherlands has not stood the test of time as well as ‘Waterloo’, but for the real Eurovision fan, a song that came 17th (of 19th) is possibly the best-remembered of the night, and that is the late Joy Fleming’s ‘Eid Lied Kann Ein Brucke Sein’ – roughly translated to ‘A Song is a Bridge’.
Joy sadly passed away last year, but she will be long remember for this amazing powerful song from 1975.
Thanks for stopping by – May the Journey Never End!
