Every visitor from abroad to South Korea, well most of them are pretty keen to do one particular thing – and that is to visit the Demilitarised Zone or ‘DMZ’ as it is popularly acronym-onised. So when I was there of course I had to take a tour out of pure curiosity to gaze across the zone between the two Koreas and look into North Korea to see how incredibly different to South Korea it surely must be. Or is it?
The tour included a bit of history, a chance to purchase North Korea money and also a chance to check out the Third Infiltration Tunnel that the North Koreans dug into South Korea many years ago now. A fascinating and definitely somewhat strange experience indeed! Some come and do it all with me!
Thanks for popping by! May the Journey Never End!
Interesting and sad at the same time.
True thanks Lookom
I didn’t go to the DMZ when I visited South Korea (although I would have had the time), and while it does look interesting and it is crazy to be able to see North Korea, I am not too sad I missed it – maybe next time!
Fair call me it’s incredibly and strangely touristic thanks for popping by:)
